How Pest2Go Ltd collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

Last updated August 2026 Controller Pest2Go Ltd ICO reg. ZC155998
In short. We only ask for the information we need to quote for, arrange and carry out your pest-control work, keep you informed, and meet our legal obligations. We don’t sell your data. We keep it only as long as we need it, and you have clear rights over it — all explained below.

1Who we are

Pest2Go is a trading name of Pest2Go Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14317664). We provide pest inspection, treatment, monitoring, proofing, bird-control, hygiene, insulation and drainage-related services to domestic and commercial customers in Northampton and the surrounding areas. BedBugs2Go is also a trading name of Pest2Go Ltd.

Pest2Go Ltd is the data controller for the personal information you provide to us. This means we are responsible for deciding how and why your information is used.

2Information we collect

Depending on how you contact us and the work we carry out, we may collect:

  • Your name and the name of any occupier or site contact
  • Phone number and email address
  • Service address and postcode
  • Details of your pest problem and the property
  • Access, parking or security information you provide for the visit
  • Information relevant to a safe treatment — for example pets, children, pregnancy, allergies, respiratory conditions, vulnerable occupants or aquariums, where you choose to tell us
  • Photographs you upload, and photographs or notes our technicians take as part of the job record
  • Payment and invoicing information
  • Records of our correspondence, bookings, treatment reports and any complaint
  • Basic technical and usage data when you visit our website (see Cookies, below)

3How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide a quotation
  • Arrange, carry out and follow up surveys and treatments
  • Send appointment confirmations, preparation and aftercare instructions and treatment reports
  • Assess risk and carry out the work safely
  • Raise invoices and take payment
  • Handle complaints and stand behind our work
  • Keep records we are required to keep, and manage our business

We do not use your data for marketing without your consent.

4Our lawful bases for using your data

Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. Depending on the activity, we rely on:

Lawful basisWhen we rely on it
ContractTo quote for, arrange and carry out the services you have booked, and to invoice for them.
Legitimate interestsTo run and administer our business, keep job and safety records, respond to enquiries, handle complaints and recover unpaid invoices — balanced against your rights.
Legal obligationTo meet our health-and-safety, tax, insurance and other legal duties.
ConsentFor optional things such as marketing, or using identifiable photographs or testimonials for promotion. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5Health and other sensitive information

Sometimes, to treat your property safely, you may tell us information that counts as special category data under UK GDPR — for example a pregnancy, an allergy, a respiratory condition or a disability affecting an occupant. We only use this information to assess risk and carry out the treatment safely, and we process it because it is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest in providing our service safely, or with your explicit consent. We do not use it for any other purpose and we keep it to the minimum needed.

6How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only as long as we need it. In practice we retain customer and job records for 6 years, which reflects the periods for which we may need them for tax, accounting, insurance and legal reasons, and so we can reference previous treatments if you contact us again. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires or where there is an ongoing reason to do so. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete it.

7Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary to deliver our service, run our business or meet a legal obligation — and only the minimum information needed. This may include:

  • Subcontractors and specialist partners involved in your job (for example heat-treatment, drainage, access or wildlife specialists)
  • Payment and booking or job-management providers
  • Our insurers and professional advisers
  • A debt-recovery service, where an invoice remains unpaid
  • Regulators, authorities or other bodies where we are legally required to share information

Where a subcontractor or provider processes data on our behalf, they are required to protect it and use it only for the purpose we specify.

8Photographs and job records

Our technicians may take proportionate photographs or recordings for identification, risk assessment, treatment records, evidence, reporting, training or insurance claims. We take reasonable steps to avoid capturing unnecessary personal information.

Promotional use is separate and optional. We will not use identifiable photographs, video, testimonials or case material for advertising or social media without your separate permission. You can withdraw that permission for future use at any time, although we may not be able to reverse material already lawfully published.

9Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Object to our processing of your data
  • Ask us to restrict processing
  • Request a copy of certain data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@pest2go.co.uk. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
